The whole team at the dealership was super helpful. We had gone in hoping to test drive the new Traverse, only to find that it wasn't on the lot. Greg talked to us about other options, but wasn't pushy, which I appreciated. We had a check engine light on, the car is newer (2024) 11,000 and still under warranty. We dropped it off on Friday and was told that I would hear something by the end of the day and we could possibly pick it up on Sunday . We did not get a call on Friday and Sunday when we called in to see it was not complete with no information . Monday I called and found out that there was a part to be ordered and we could possibly get it at the end of the day. No call back , so I called and inquired and found out that they were not going to have it done until the next day. So all I was wanting was clear communication and timeframe so we could prepare for what ever we had to do.

I had some minor kicks in my transmission. I requested to check it and replace the transmission oil. They told me that replacing oil won’t help and I must replace the transmission, quoting me $6,900. I requested another company to check, they said they must open the pan to see if there are mechanical wear/tear debris in the pan first. He opened it and said all is clean. He recommended to drain the oil and put the new one. After that process which cost me $500. All transmission problems were gone. I’m very disappointed that Chevrolet Certified Service gave me such bad advice, which could have cost me so much, for my truck with only 34,000 miles on it. I’m really upset with such a low quality effort.

Dropped off my car at 2 p.m., called at 5 and was told they couldn't give me an update on my car because the technician went home already. Called at 9 the next day, sorry technician is out till 10:30 and will call me for an update.No call by 11 so I called again, sorry technician is out till 12:30. Apparently you only have one technician. Once I spoke to the technician, I was advised that both batteries in my car had to be replaced at the cost of $950, I passed on that and went to Les Schwab, they put both batteries in for $500 and was done in an hour. Last time going to Newberg Chevrolet, not enough technician and double the cost, no thank you.

My 2021 Chevy Tahoe was at Newberg Chevy from August 31-December 4, 2025 due to a seized engine as a result of a recall. Communication from the service department has been non-existent. The only way that I've been able to gather information is if I have initiated an inquiry, with the exception of when there was a $100 deductible due, then I received a call right away and provided the payment as requested. Since retrieving my vehicle from the dealership on December 4, 2025 I have requested paperwork for the work that was done 3 times and have yet to receive it, even though I was told it would be emailed to me. Obviously, you have my email address since this was sent to it for feedback. I understand that I am not the only customer that the service department is dealing with on a daily basis, but to say I'm disappointed with the severe lack of follow through would be an understatement. I don't normally provide feedback for services; however, I feel like I need to in this case since it was terrible. I was hoping to be able to continue to use a Chevy dealership that was somewhat close to where I live, but this overall experience has shown me that I will have to look elsewhere when I need service for my vehicle. Additionally, I'm disappointed that it took me, the customer, calling Chevy to get the ball rolling on finding the part (full engine replacement) and I had to rent a car for the first month the vehicle was at the dealership. If I had not called Chevy to get the ball rolling, I have no idea how long it would have taken to get the engine delivered. As it was it took 3 full months. Frustrating...
